I often receive emails from students asking if I have openings for PhD students and/or if I am willing to supervise their PhD work. If you are not enrolled in our program, please see: PhD applications and the Swiss scholarships. If you are a student at IHEID:
2. A copy of your master transcript (snapshot or printed copy from the IHEID system is sufficient, if you haven't finished your masters)
3. A copy of your bachelor transcript (optional)
4. A copy of your Gerzensee grade (if applicable)
5. An one-page research proposal
6. A literature review in the area you are interested in conducting research
7. Any other materials supporting your quantitative skills or research ability (optional)
- Plan in advance. Read my research website to see if we are a good match. Ideally, take one class of mine first so we get to know each other.
- Please note that an average grade of Micro/Macro/Econometrics being 5.5+, of Gerzensee being 5.25+ (or equivalent) are needed unless you demonstrate strong research abilities.
- Provide me with the following documents before asking for meetings.
